Call for Volunteers
Contact Anton if you would like to volunteer during the conference.
There is a lot of work involved in organizing a conference. People living in the Triangle (or close enough to drive here occasionally) are best suited for most of the tasks. Everyone, regardless of geography, can help spread the word about the meeting (if you do, please use our Promo materials).

- finding and contacting potential sponsors (Anton is the lead)
- securing the venue (Anton and Bora)
- coordinating transportation as needed
- getting a block of rooms with a good deal from the hotel (David is the lead)
- organizing everything that has to do with food, catering, coffee, wine, beer, locopops, etc. (David is the lead)
- finding and negotiating Friday daytime Lab Tours and Food Tours.
- moderating the wiki and fixing the messes when users bork it
- helping Bora with putting together the Program (Stephanie Willen Brown)
- technical support – VERY important this year: wifi (capable of supporting up to 250 people online without slowing down), A/V needs of moderators, video recording and livestreaming
- Completely taking care of Second Life coverage (Joanna Scott ?)
- printing the name tags
- soliciting and collecting swag
- packing swag the day before the conference
- manning the registration table at the conference
- other
