Paint your blog images using a digital tablet
Led by Glendon Mellow
Description: Get a chance to test out a digital tablet, and see why it’s like having an entire art supply store on your computer. Beginning with tutorials on Glendon’s blog before and after the conference, we’ll try using Gimp, a powerful and free image program, as well as looking at pieces made in ArtRage and Photoshop Elements. These programs, in conjunction with a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet, can heighten the impact of an image using an easy and versatile input device.

Tablets, depending on size and model, can be quite expensive. Do we need to buy our own in advance, or can we play with yours and then decide if we like it and find it worthy to purchase?
Response: Good question! I will be bringing my Intuos 3 tablet for people to try out, and possibly my 8-year old nephew’s Bamboo (smaller, less expensive model that is still full of awesome.) No need to buy and bring. -Glendon
