This is the page to watch! We will be adding news and updates in reverse chronological order (newest on top) to this page to help you keep abreast with the organization of the conference.

January 8, 2010. A week to go! Putting all the last details in place. A few more tickets remain for the Thursday dinner….

December 29, 2009 – added the Saturday Night Banquet page, more info everywhere, lots of details still to be taken care of, but a mighty army of volunteers is coming through.

December 2, 2009 – We announced the Keynote Speaker. Much work on details: wifi, livestreaming, food, transportation, Food/Lab Tours, etc.

October 28, 2009 – Program schedule finished

October 27, 2009 – we are full. Started the waitlist.

October 23, 2009 – Registration is now open.

October 20, 2009 – the Program is (almoooost) ready. Added the Food Tours, Lab Tours and Workshops pages.

October 13, 2009 – first mailing to the moderators/presenters.

October 11, 2009 – sent a message to the ‘attending’ and ‘maybe attending’ on Facebook Event page.

October 10, 2009 – posted an update on A Blog Around The Clock.

October 4, 2009 – added the Travel and Hotel Information page.

October 1, 2009 – due to size of the Program Suggestions page (wiki refuses to save edits any more) there is now a new page: Program Finalization

October 1, 2009 – there is now a page for Carpooling and Room-sharing

October 1, 2009 – Win a travel grant to the conference, thanks to NESCent: Conference travel fellowship for best evolution-themed blog in 2009

September 15, 2009 – we have finalized the location. The main part of the conference will be at Sigma Xi, with additional events at RTP headquarters and other locations.

August 22, 2009 – started the Twitter feed @scio10

August 17, 2009 – made the wiki public and invited people to come and register and start adding ideas for the program.

August 16, 2009 – started a FriendFeed room and the Facebook event

August 14, 2009 – we have the new logo!

August 10, 2009 – updated the homepage, added the “News and Updates” page, added the “Volunteers” page; edited the “Program Suggestions” page – almost ready to reveal the wiki to the world!

August 9, 2009 – wiki is set up and it appears to work fine. Added and populated the “Program Suggestions” page and the “NC Blogs” page. Thanks to a circle of friends who helped us test-drive the wiki and point out the glitches that needed fixing.
